Youth College Excellence Summit - Scholarship Opportunities (Deadline August 14-15, 2021)
High school and continuing college students...It's not too late to register and join the virtual Youth College Excellence Summit on August 14-15, 2021. Mt. Zion Baptist Church - Essay Scholarship (Deadline - August 15, 2021)
Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located in Triangle, VA, is hosting a Essay Scholarship contest for high school seniors.
All High School Seniors entering their essay must be present to win. The scholarships will be given on the night of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Concert (October 2nd 2021, 4:30pm at: 18410 Chapel drive, Triangle Virginia 22172).
This year there will be a top scholarship winner that has articulated with excellence over the rest, “Why My Life Matters.” The winner of the essay will orally present their essay to the congregation, and receive the top scholarship for that evening along with a plaque. Second and third place winners will receive a plaque along with their scholarship. All other scholarship winners will receive their scholarship blessing on stage with the host.
The guidelines for the essay’s are as follows:
Cover page, which will include your name, essay topic, date prepared, High school, Extra curricular activities (sports, clubs, band,) Grade point average (GPA) College going to or accepted (Letter of acceptance sent to me with essay)
BODY (Essay) Must be Times Roman 12 pitch, Double spaced, Spell checked, No less than 1,000 words, No more than 3,000 words, and Submit your essays in Word or PDF ONLY
Essay Submission: Essays shall be sent to Kenneth.firstname.lastname@example.org by August 15, 2021. Any essays emailed after that date will be disqualified.
